Somewhat in the span of a year I’ve improved in the detail department. Looking at older artwork is far more amusing though.
Drawn a couple of months ago, I really need to get into the swing of drawing and writing more again.
Piece I worked on for the “Seven Deadly Sins” Contest on deviantART.
Lost which is predictable as ever, but thought it’d make a nice addition to my art blog to start off the new year.
My piece “Sunset Candy” is now open for voting on over at Infectious. If anyone is so kind to place me a vote, I would highly appreciate it. Thank you very much!
One of the very first artists that inspired me back in college and still does, Hyung Tae Kim. I have this poster in my room somewhere, it’s pretty awesome. His drawing skills are epic & inspirational, so much detail goes into his characters.
Back Into Character Design
I’m getting back into it. It’s what I went into uni for. Plus, character design can be used for video games AND animation, which is a bonus. Now time to try and improve everything and be able to draw more than just prettyful womenz within the next few months. Fantasy novel will be put on hold, cause it’s actually my video game concept idea LOL.
If it’s in written novel form I may have a chance with it. My talk with the Ninja Theory art director was rather daunting. Having and idea and pitching it to a game company will result in a 1/1,000,000 chance of it ACTUALLY getting through.
Sad times.
Something I drew in like an hour. Trying to develop a more easier skin colouring technique. I can’t handle spending days on just one drawing and making it look realistic as ever. Can’t do it. Hurts mah brain. She ended up looking like a grown up Samara from the Ring.
Work in progress (or rough costume design sketch) of the main character from my novel I’m working on. It’s set in the Victorian era, hence the bustle dress.
